Programs & Events Committee: The Program & Events Committee provides volunteer support to carry out the program and events calendar. Ambassadors Club: To be an Ambassador means to serve as good-will ambassadors for the Chamber, communicate the Chamber’s mission, value of Chamber membership, and promote participation in the chamber. Ambassadors assist with Chamber member retention, recruitment, and the promotion of the programs and services offered by the Chamber to reach membership goals. Public Affairs Committee: The Public Affairs Committee serves as the public policy review committee on behalf of businesses in Barren County. The Committee develops annually a list of legislative priorities that meet the needs of business and protect the business environment of the community. The Committee also assists in the review of legislation impacting the area and may recommend to the Board of Directors to take a position on a particular issue. Lead Staff: President & CEO
Education and Workforce Committee: This committee is comprised of local business, workforce and education leaders in the community to work together to enhance the educational experience by linking academics, business and community through partnerships that lead to a local workforce that meets the demand of local employers. Young Professionals: There will be a leadership committee that will help drive the agenda for professional development, civic engagement, and networking with a goal of retaining and recruiting young talent in Barren County. Lead Staff: Director, Membership & Programs
Leadership Program Committees: Ad Hoc committees that provide support for Leadership programs. Lead Staff: Director, Membership & Programs Lead Forward: The Lead Forward Committee provides assistance in the development and implementation of the Leadership Barren County Program and is comprised of previous program participants. The program also has two program chairs for the program year as well as day chairs for each of the proposed days. This committee will help in arranging the Leadership days, reviewing projects and schedule the program year. Leaders of the Future: Committee of business and education leaders that will assist in scheduling and organizing of Leadership days for the students.
