What is Leadership Barren County?
Leadership Glasgow Barren County is a program designed for existing and emerging leaders within the County. Our goal is to educate up-and-coming leaders on the most important opportunities, challenges, and issues within the county and region in order to cultivate diverse and well-rounded leaders to carry our community forward.

What can a class member expect?

Class members will start the program with an orientation, press conference and reception, the first over-night retreat is held in September and then the class will participate in full-day sessions, once a month, from October through April, and end the class with a second overnight retreat and graduation in May. During each session, we will cover topics such as Leadership, Education, Social Infrastructure, Government, Politics, Media, Health, Economic Diversity and Quality of Place. These sessions are formatted through lectures, panels, tours, and hands-on activities. This program will help participants to grow both personally and professionally by delivering tailored leadership skill training and assessments, fostering connections with top leaders in the region, and bringing awareness to the most pertinent aspects and issues Glasgow and Barren County face today.
